My son (Asher McHale Dean) is almost nine weeks old...he is strong and healthy.  We're planning the move to Nashville in October.  The birth was inspiring and I've written a lot of songs this summer.  Looking forward to finishing up my fourth CD with Max this fall and laying out the next.

Less than five weeks until the birth of my son.  This week we'll be moving to the country.  We're headed to a farm house complete with pond and chicken coop in Nambe, just 20 minutes north of Santa Fe.  City life's been good to me, but times are changing and the cottonwoods are calling my name.

Just got word from my friend Dustin who is attending the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences for audio engineering in Tempe, AZ.  He is interested in recording my fourth album.  He said they have amazing recording equipment.  The sound of this CD will be more pure and simple.  I think this one will showcase the songwriting more than the entire sound I have in my head.  Hopefully it will be better for presenting the songs to publishers in Nashville.

Took a trip this weekend to Denver to see old friends and record a radio interview with Red Titus for his Smokin' Grass (Bluegrass & Traditional Music Hour) at WXBO 102.5 FM out of Hudson Valley N.Y. USA/Party 934.  You can check out his podcast at www.smokingrassmusic.com.  I played three unrecorded orginals written this year and one of his favorites from the Raising the Root album, Say Again.
